Blending jazz rock and post rock with minimalist instrumentation. Tortoise is one of the best examples of a band being able to take a little and make it sound full and dynamic throughout a track. My fav album from them and a true masterclass of post rock. 10/10

how could i miss out on this in 1999? there was a time long before International Anthem Recordings. But you can find loads of musicians involved here playing now on various current releases. This album by Sam Prekop is a beauty.

Warm music for cold days. I've been a fan of Sam's music since I first heard "Jacking the Ball" at Lounge Ax. His foray into electronic music has his characteristic melodic optimism, and that is why this one gets repeated listens.
